As mentioned in previous sections, your body is the foundation for the pain and torture you will experience in Hell, but is also your greatest resource for survival in Hell. These ongoing sections will explain some of the basics of how your body will function in Hell, how to exploit these new functions, and finally repair/additions to your body.
It cannot be overemphasized that once you arrive in Hell you are dead by any standard you are familiar with. This may seem like a simple concept, but there are countless accounts of people who, in an effort to preserve some semblance of their former self, have sacrificed their entire bodies when it was not necessary. An excellent example of this is if your foot was to become trapped in an entanglement of veins beneath a Fat Pit. Many people have been consumed by such Fat Pits when they could have easily escaped by cutting or breaking the extremity off. What stops them from following such a logical progression is the attachment they have to their bodies. In these cases, the Fat Pit consumes the entire body, as well as any chance for the individual’s ascension to Heaven. It would have been much more prudent to break one’s foot off, escape, then find some other reasonable facsimile to replace the foot.
It cannot be overstated that your body is your most important asset in Hell. It will allow you to move, escape, defend, and scavenge for yourself. All of these are essential in order to survive long enough for rescue. Your body is the most coveted item of the Devil and his Demons. They will try to adulterate your assets in order to annihilate you so that rescue becomes impossible. Also, in many cases the inhabitants of Hell will look to exploit your body and its many resources for their own purposes. This is yet another reason to avoid them.
